Pete and Wendy returned on another trip with two friends in 2011 and as ice conditions were more favourable explored a new and wider area.
They are planning a circumnavigation of Ireland this summer (2012) and have already made a block booking for a trip with friends in August 2013.
During their trip to the east coast with me in 2010, Pete paddled a standard NDK Explorer, while Wendy enjoyed using a Rockpool Alaw -
However they chose this photo from a previous trip on the west coast, as it was a rare one of them both together!
Our club trip to East Greenland in 2010 encountered unusually heavy ice and Martin’s extensive experience and knowledge enabled us to make the best of the conditions available.
Without him and the first class equipment he provided, we would have been unable to achieve much at all, and then not in safety.
We’d have no hesitation in recommending Martin to any paddlers wanting to experience the spectacular sea kayaking in the region.
