Greenland Youth Expeditions
Over the past 30 years the Ammassalik area of east Greenland has been the
destination for forward thinking schools, D/E groups and youth organisations from
the UK.
After many years exploring this area and running guided expeditions I have now
established a permanent kayak base - this is able to outfit small groups of youngsters
who are on dedicated schools' expeditions or organised trips during gap years.
A guiding service using qualified and localy experienced BCU coaches is available
to support the groups own leaders and instructors.
Other logistical support and back up can also be organised along with boat shuttles
and drop-offs.
In the past, school expeditions have successfully worked in 3 pods - each one
rotating through a 7 day Kayaking, Hill Walking and Field Study programme -
providing an incredible life changing and unforgetable experience for everyone
involved.
